    How to Enter

    We have reached the cap of 150 entries. If you enter now you will be placed on a waitlist pending withdrawals. In the unlikely event that you do not make the final cut you will get a full refund.

    Car entries for the 2020 Tatts Finke Desert Race will open on Monday 24th February 2020 at 0900 NT time (0730 WA; 0930 QLD; 1000 SA; 1030 NSW/VIC/TAS). Initial application will be through the purchase of an entry from here. APPLY NOW. Once your application has been processed we will email you with confirmation of your entry and details to login and complete the online entry form.

    Details required for the intitial online application will be:

    • Primary contact: name, address, email and mobile
    • Name(s) of Driver, Co-Driver, Navigator and 2nd Navigator
    • Race Detail: Car Class and Race number (if known)
    • Vehicle Description - make, model and CC
    • Payment: Visa or Mastercard details required for payment of the $995 entry fee

    **** New in 2020 ****. There is a checkbox on the application form if you are interested in hiring a GPS tracker during this years race? Family, friends and all those following the race will be able to see your position. Cost will be $150 and purchased through the extra’s option in the Finke Store by end Feb.

    If you don't have a race number you should apply to Motorsport Australia for a number. This is not an essential requirement for online application.


    Online Entry Form

    Confirmed competitors will receive a PIN number which can be used to access their online entry form at Online Car Entry Form. Please complete this form as soon as possible. Some information may not be available yet and you can return to this link at any time before entries close on Friday 15 May to complete your entry form.


    Rules

    The Tatts Finke Desert Race for cars is run in accordance with the Motorsport Australia Competition Rules and Regulations together with the Supplementary Regulations (Supp Regs). Competitors must be familiar with these rules.


    Registration, Scrutineering & Prologue

    All competitors will be required to attend registration in the week before the race (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday), scrutineering on Friday afternoon and the Prologue on Saturday - see Supp Regs for details. Race days are Sunday 7th and Monday 8th June.


    Competitor Guide

    The 2019 Competitor Guide is available as a PDF download. The 2020 publication will be available here when it is released. The 2019 version is made available for information purposes.


    Maps & Road Closures

    Maps of the track and diagrams of the venues are available as a PDF download. These may be updated from time. A map of the track for use in Google Earth and other navigation devices is available as a KML download. These may be updated from time.

    Finke Street Party
