Briefing & Disclaimers
Please note that as a part of the Tatts Finke Desert Race Safety & Environment Campaign it is compulsory for working media to be accredited if they wish to participate in the event.
All accredited media will be required to attend a briefing session to ensure they are fully briefed on all safety aspects of the race and will also be required to sign three disclaimers - examples are provided in links below.
Maps & Road Closures
Maps of the track and diagrams of the venues are available as a PDF download. These may be updated from time. A map of the track for use in Google Earth and other navigation devices is available as a KML download. These may be updated from time.
Photographic Accreditation
Please note media applying for photographic accreditation will also be required to provide the following evidence in the form of a letter or Certificate of Currency written in English, from the Photographer's or Agency's insurer or insurance broker confirming that they have, or are covered by, public liability insurance of at least AU $10 million per claim covering his or her actions during event and the Occupational Health & Safety Policy of the photographer. Lack of a suitable policy will result in the non-issue or cancellation of any accreditation. Alternatively a copy of the photographers current CAMS Photographer Accreditation can be provided
